Library Read-In

You’re invited to join us for a “read-in” at the library on Friday, April 25th from 6-7:30pm. We will gather in the library to quietly read in demonstration of support for libraries and to raise awareness about cuts to the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
IMLS funding directly impacts our state and our local libraries. The New York State Library (NYSL) received $8.1 million through the IMLS in 2024. Full funding cuts will impact NYSL programs our libraries rely on. Our library system, our libraries, and our community members will experience lasting adverse impacts as a result of these cuts to the IMLS.
